DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – CONSULTANCY
Job Profile
- Review, diagnose and
make recommendations for potential and existing technical and/or financial
problems of existing businesses.
- Provides advice on the
preparation of business plans and sources of finance.
- Recommend and arrange
business development training to potential and existing entrepreneurs.
- Technical business
interventions as may be required.
These interventions may be of a marketing, accounting, H.R and
financial management nature.
Qualifications and
Experience
- 1st Degree
in Business Management, Economics, Accounting or related field
- Sound knowledge of
financial and business re-engineering methods and application
- Credit appraisal
techniques, business planning, project costing and the requirements of
operating successful businesses
- Knowledge of Banking
and Lending Operations would be an asset
BUSINESS
DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – TRAINING AND BUSINESS ADVISORY
Job Profile
- Gain sound knowledge of
the services and products of the company and utilize well established
business skills in delivering these.
- Diagnostic Interviews
with entrepreneurs on their business operations and provides specific
business training advice.
- Design or assist in the
design of the company’s strategic objectives as well as implement or assist with the implementation of
these objectives
Qualifications and
Experience
- 1st Degree
in Business Management, Economics, Accounting or related field.
- Sound knowledge of the
SME sector.
- Sound knowledge of
training methodologies including needs assessments and analysis, business
analysis, appraisal techniques, business planning, strategic planning,
project management and the requirements of operating successful
businesses.
BUSINESS
DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – TRADE ASSISTANCE
Job Profile
- Gain sound knowledge of
trading practices and issues, trading arrangements between Trinidad and
Tobago and international trading partners.
- Make recommendations on
technical and export facilitation/development as well as determining where
promotional assistance is sought.
- Ensure relevant
business management training is available to potential and existing entrepreneurs.
- Monitors trade
readiness and international market penetration capability of clients’
business operations.
- Provide information on
restrictive and/or facilitative trading agreements.
Qualifications and
Experience
- 1st Degree
in International Business, Business Management, Economics or related
field.
Post
Graduate Training in a related discipline would be an asset for all of the
positions mentioned above. Four (4) years relevant business experience with
good negotiating and relationship management skills. Candidates should also have strong analytical skills, excellent
interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a team member.
